About Us
The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the National University of Sudan (NUSU) has emerged as a vital pillar of advanced higher education, research, and innovation within the university and the broader academic community. Our Journey
The journey of graduate education at NUSU began in July 2010, marking a significant milestone with the launch of its inaugural graduate programme in Clinical Human Anatomy. The initial cohort consisted of 12 enthusiastic students eager to pursue advanced knowledge in this vital medical discipline. Within two years, the faculty celebrated a proud achievement when the first batch of 11 students graduated with a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Human Anatomy. This successful start laid the foundation for expanding graduate programmes across multiple disciplines, emphasising academic rigour, research excellence, and societal impact.
Following the initial success, the university formalised its commitment to postgraduate education by establishing the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in 2015, in accordance with national educational laws and regulations. This new faculty was entrusted with the critical responsibility of overseeing the implementation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of all graduate programs offered by NUSU, ensuring that students receive education of the highest standards.
