National University-Sudan Hosts IFMSA Sub-Regional Training (SRT) for Medical Students

The National University-Sudan (Port Sudan Branch) recently hosted the IFMSA Sub-Regional Training (SRT). Organized by the Medical Students’ International Network-Sudan (MedSIN-Sudan), this prominent regional event brought together a distinguished group of medical students and youth leaders from Sudan and several neighbouring countries.

Capacity Building and Healthcare Leadership

The SRT is recognized as one of the premier educational and capacity-building programmes for future healthcare professionals. This year’s training focused heavily on:

  • Developing participants’ skills in leadership, advocacy, and healthcare management.
  • Enhancing technical and clinical knowledge surrounding public health issues and rights.

Interactive Workshops and Professional Networking

The comprehensive programme featured a series of specialised workshops and interactive training sessions. These sessions provided an invaluable platform for participants to exchange practical expertise, discuss innovative solutions to regional health challenges, and build effective professional networks among medical student associations.
