The National University of Sudan Reopens Its Campus and Alraqi University Hospital in Soba
The National University of Sudan celebrated the reopening of its main campus and Alraqi University Hospital in Soba. Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces officiated the inauguration.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Ahmed Othman Hamza, Governor of Khartoum State; Lieutenant General Siraj Al-Din Mustafa, State Police Director; and several senior military and executive officials.
During the event, Engineer Ibrahim Jaber commended the reopening of the university and hospital, emphasising that this step represents a significant contribution to the enhancement of educational and healthcare services. He noted that the initiative provides students with an exceptional opportunity to resume their studies and ensures the continuation of quality medical care for patients. He also reaffirmed his full support and commitment to overcoming any obstacles that may impede progress.
The University President, Professor Qurashi Mohammed Ali, stated that the university hospital will witness notable development across its departments. He highlighted the establishment of a new oxygen production plant to meet the needs of the hospital and other medical institutions, alongside the introduction of advanced training programs in the medical field aimed at improving healthcare performance across the state.
Engineer Ibrahim Jaber and the Governor of Khartoum commended the outstanding efforts of the university administration and staff in revitalizing both educational and health services. They affirmed that this achievement reflects the university’s steadfast commitment to rebuilding and restoring normal life in the capital. Both pledged continued support to help the university overcome future challenges.
