Official Announcement: Launch of Galaxy NUBRI

The National University Biomedical Research Institute (NUBRI) at the National University–Sudan is pleased to announce the launch of Galaxy NUBRI (https://nubri.usegalaxy.eu), Sudan’s first cloud-based bioinformatics analysis platform. Galaxy NUBRI has been developed by NUBRI and operates with hosting and technical support from Galaxy Europe.
Galaxy NUBRI provides cloud-hosted genomic and bioinformatics tools that support research, training, and collaborative development in an accessible, reproducible, and secure environment. This launch marks a major milestone in strengthening Sudanese scientific infrastructure and positions NUBRI as a regional hub for cloud-based bioinformatics. As Sudan’s first platform of this kind, Galaxy NUBRI will enhance scientific resilience, support regional capacity building, and sustain long-term research productivity while fostering international collaboration.

What Galaxy NUBRI Offers
Galaxy NUBRI enables cloud-based data analysis with no need for local installation and provides ready-to-use workflows for sequencing, genomics, antimicrobial resistance studies, and structural biology. Users have access to thousands of documented, continuously maintained tools within a secure, professionally managed environment that receives regular updates. The platform supports postgraduate research projects, training programs, and institutional activities, making advanced computational research widely accessible to students, researchers, and partner institutions.
