Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences Students Organise Compassionate Visit to Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357
As part of the university’s commitment to community service and social responsibility, students from the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences recently organised a distinguished humanitarian visit to Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 in Cairo. The initiative was led by Dr Somaya Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs (Cairo Branch) and with the generous support of the university administration.
The visit served as an exemplary model of purposeful voluntary work. Nursing students actively participated in providing psychological and moral support to the young patients, reflecting a deep understanding of the healthcare professional’s role. The initiative highlighted that nursing is not merely about clinical treatment, but also about embedding profound human dimensions into professional practice.
Aligning with Sustainable Development
This visit aligns with the university’s dedication to regional community engagement and its role in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. By fostering effective community partnerships, the university continues to strengthen its impact beyond the classroom.
The university extends its sincere appreciation to our students for their honourable conduct, and to the leadership of the Faculty and the Deanship of Student Affairs. Their ongoing support for such initiatives is vital in preparing a conscious, responsible generation capable of making a real, positive difference in society.
