 The Human Resources Administration at the National University of Sudan diligently aligns its policies and practices with globally recognised HR standards to ensure excellence, fairness, and sustainability. This includes adherence to the principles and guidelines established by the International Labour Organisation (ILO), which emphasise fair labour practices, non-discrimination, decent work conditions, and social protection for all employees.

Additionally, the Administration follows UNESCO guidelines for higher education institutions, promoting ethical recruitment, capacity building, gender equality, and inclusive policies that support academic freedom and institutional integrity.   Responsibilities

  • Managing recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes for all university staff and faculty.
  • Developing and updating HR policies in line with national and international standards.
  • Overseeing employee records, payroll, benefits, and other administrative functions.
  • Facilitating professional development programmes, training, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and implementing recognition programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with labour laws, employment regulations, and university policies.
  • Handling employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Promoting a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with international occupational health and safety standards.
  • Supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives across the university community.
  • Providing strategic HR advice to university leadership to support institutional growth and sustainability.
