With great pleasure the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences of
National University-Sudan welcomes Sudanese and Foreign students
to gain its outstanding quality knowledge and skills.
The curriculum of the faculty is well designed by expert to obtain well
outcomes. The faculty was accredited by Ministry of Higher Education and
Scientific Research and by British Accreditation Council (BAC)
The faculty provide qualified staff and tidy environment (lecture rooms,
teaching laboratories, library….etc)
The curriculum follows the semester system extending over 4 years.

Established in 2009 as a medical programme in the National College for Medical and Technical Studies. In 2014, the programme was renamed as “Faculty of Medicine” as part of the college being promoted to a university.

Graduating specialized cadres who are willing to work in a team spirit to be acquainted with the different tasks of medical laboratory sciences.
OBJECTIVES
Graduate practitioners with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MB BS), with strong community orientation and ethical components.
Strengthen medical and health research, making use of the University’s facilities and communication privileges.to promote up-to-date modern medical education.
Contribute to community development through health services provided in its own health institutions and other institutions co-operating with it, through the following:
(a) partnership in designing health programs and plans, and implement whatever is feasible in utilizing the experience of specialists,
(b) Contribution in continuous education through short and long term courses, to improve efficiency of health workers,
(c) Provision of essential equipment and supplies to improve quality of services, through partnership with the Ministry of Health.

The NUSU-FOMS aspires to be one of the leading institutions at both national and international levels and the most respected programme of its kind that provides up-to-date medical education, quality health research and trusted partnership with the community and other health sectors.
Mission
The NUSU-FOMS strives towards developing the highest standards of educational excellence, health-related research, and appropriate social responsibility to produce medical practitioners who are ethical professionals, lifelong learners, innovative, critical thinkers aware of diversity and local, regional and global health issues.
